This post is dedicated to my husband and his love of baseball.  There is nothing better than going to a baseball game and enjoying it with him.  Hot dogs and a coke, people watching, singing the National Anthem, hearing the crack of ball and bat colliding, and enjoying a warm Summer evening with family and friends.  Have a wonderful Saturday.  See you at the ball park.

What do horses, mint juleps, large hats and roses have in common?  The Kentucky Derby of course.  The race has been a part of the Louisville, Kentucky landscape since it first began in 1875.  Among the many traditions at Churchill Downs are the big-brimmed, flamboyant Derby hats and mint juleps and of course the lush blanket of red roses presented to the winner.  Below is a collection of memorabilia from "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports" that can be purchased on Etsy, including these pendant necklaces from my Pretty Whimsical shop: Vintage Horse Racing and Vintage Race Horse.
